Dr. Craig Burkhart is an academic pediatric dermatologist at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He lives with his wife, Jena, who is a pharmacist specializing in clinical geriatric pharmacy, and their dog, Thomas. Jena and Dr. Burkhart had their first child in 2013.

Eric F. Bernstein earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University in 1981 graduating Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude with distinction in his major. He then earned his degree in medicine from Yale University School of Medicine in 1986 where he served as Banner Bearer at commencement exercises and class president.

From 1986-1994, Dr. Steinhoff studied Medicine and Human Biology at the University of Marburg, Germany. After a short residency in Internal Medicine, he started his residency in Dermatology/Venerology (1995-1996). From 1997-1999, he was post-doctoral fellow at UCSF in San Francisco working on protease-activated and neuropeptide receptors. Since that time, his primary interest has been to understand the skin as a neuro-immune organ and its relevance in atopic dermatitis, itch and rosacea.

Dr. Vázquez- López was born at Asturias in Northern Spain. He received his medical degree at Madrid University and completed his residency in dermatology at Madrid (San Carlos University Hospital) with Professors Antonio García-Pérez, Evaristo Sánchez-Yus and Luis Requena. He is currently professor of dermatology at the University of Oviedo, Asturias, Spain. He performs his clinical activity at the dermatology department of Asturias Central University Hospital.

Dr. Valentine grew up in rural West Virginia during the tranquil fifties and the turbulent sixties, graduated from West Virginia University in 1970, and received his medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 1974.
