With restrictions slowly and carefully lifting, aesthetic dermatology practices should look to refresh their techniques ahead of accepting patients looking for cosmetic procedures. To help board-certified physicians and their staff (non-physician provider or office personnel) prepare, Cosmetic Bootcamp is moving from Aspen, CO, to a virtual format over 2.5 days from Friday, July 10, to Sunday, July 12.
This annual conference brings together physicians in the four core aesthetic specialties – dermatology, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, and otolaryngology – to share knowledge and shape the future of aesthetic medicine. Led by course director Ava Shambam, MD; course director and founder Kenneth R. Beer, MD, FAAD; and founder Mary Lupo, MD, FAAD; this year’s Summer Bootcamp blends live audio/video with pre-recorded sessions. The conference is also still hosting its hallmark Anatomy Lab with a cadaver head dissection, as well as patient demonstrations, featuring live audio from the panel of experts.
The agenda, filled with high-quality lectures from leaders in aesthetic medicine, includes:
- Toxin Update: Duration, Options and Tough Cases with Nowell Solish, MD, FRCP (C);
- Hair Rejuvenation 101 with Wendy Roberts, MD;
- What is New in Fat Melting/Tissue Tightening with Jeanie Downie, MD;
- Non-Ablative Lasers for Rejuvenation and Acne Scarring with Eric Bernstein, MD; and
- Acne, Rosacea, Melasma: Novel Therapies with Diane Berson, MD.
In addition, Cosmetic Bootcamp offers a platform for attendees to chat with colleagues and conference faculty. The virtual Exhibit Hall will also connect attendees with industry leaders and highlight the latest in products and services.
The conference provides 11 AMA PRA Category 1 credits for the general session and 2 credits for the cadaver head dissection session. It will also be accessible on the web for
