The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Friday expanded the approved use of the Gardasil 9 vaccine (Human Papillomavirus 9-valent Vaccine, Recombinant) to include women and men ages 27 through 45.

The expanded approval "represents an important opportunity to help prevent HPV-related diseases and cancers in a broader age range," Dr. Peter Marks, director of the FDA's Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, said in a press statement.

(Reuters) - Bausch Health Cos Inc, formerly Valeant Pharmaceuticals, said on Monday it received tentative U.S. approval to market its plaque psoriasis lotion, Bryhali (halobetasol propionate), for use in adults.

The company plans to launch the lotion in November after receiving final approval from the Food and Drug Administration, pending expiration of exclusivity for a related product, Bausch said in a statement.
